NOON Literary Journal> May 26

Join us in celebration of the 19th edition of NOON Annual with a reading and launch party. This marks the first launch event held outside of the United States! The evening will begin at 7:30pm with readings from contributors including Kayla Blatchley, Nathan Dragon, Fiona Foster, and Babak Lakghomi.

Founded in 2000 by Diane Williams, NOON is dedicated to supporting important literary art. Rachel Syme in The New York Times described NOON as: "A beautiful annual that remains staunchly avant-garde in its commitment to work that is oblique, enigmatic and impossible to ignore... Stories that leave a flashbulb's glow behind the eyes even as they resist sense."

KAYLA BLATCHLEY is a writer and teacher living in Syracuse, New York. Her work has appeared in such journals as A Public Space, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, and Unsaid. She is a frequent contributor to NOON.

NATHAN DRAGON has been published or is forthcoming in NOON, NY Tyrant, Egress, and 3AM; he lives in Massachusetts.

FIONA FOSTER’s writing has appeared in The New Quarterly, Matrix Magazine, Maisonneuve, Panoptique and The Globe and Mail, among other places. She works with the Canadian literacy organization Frontier College. Originally from rural Eastern Ontario, she lives in Toronto with her family.

BABAK LAKGHOMI is the author of Floating Notes forthcoming from Tyrant Books in July 2018. His fiction has appeared in NOON, New York Tyrant, and Heavy Feather Review and is forthcoming from Egress Magazine. Babak is born in Tehran, and currently lives and writes in Hamilton, Ontario.
