Stay up (moderately) late with Steven Heighton

a launch for Steven Heighton's The Nightingale Won't Let You Sleep > MAR 21

Join Steven Heighton, hailed by the late Al Purdy as “one of the best writers of his generation,” for the celebration of his new novel,The Nightingale Won't Let You Sleep.  The novel's protagonist, Elias Trifannis's, need to belong leads him to join the military. Shortly thereafter, Elias is shipped off to Afghanistan, where he experiences a devastating tragedy. He retreats to Cyprus to recover, where he becomes romantically involved with a Turkish journalist, and less romantically involved with a corrupt colonel.

“This book won’t let the reader sleep… a rich and disturbing literary thriller.”
